Abstract	This article presents the comparative experimental analysis of selective harmonic elimination (SHE) technique applied to three phase Voltage Source Inverter (VSI). The optimization technique has been applied to VSI with switching angles as variables and total harmonic distortion (THD) as an objective function. These optimized pulse patterns are obtained by the Accelerated Particle Swarm Optimization technique (APSO), Simulated Annealing (SA) and Hybrid Particle Swarm Optimization Techniques (HPSO). These obtained switching pulses has been applied to three phase VSI in Simulink software and results are verified by conducting the experiments. Further, ATMEGA 16 micro controller has been used to obtain the optimized switching pulses. Thus obtained results has been compared and constructive concluding remarks has been given.
