Abstract	Recently designed technique for filtering soot particles from an internal combustion engine exhaust gas system is presented. The planned filter surface is proficient of synthesizing carbon nanotubes. Two filters were designed and tested; the first is made up of carbon steel plate and the second was made up of nanomagnetic particles mounted on a polymeric plane. Those filters were placed along the pathway of an exhaust streamline with an inclination of 0° to 5°, which ensure a laminar flow condition. The results show that the projected systems produced carbon nanotubes by converting the exhaust waste from an internal combustion engine.
