| Abstract | Summary form only given. Rotating electrical machine with a compression of magnetic flux is known as effective electromechanical source of electromagnetic energy pulses, especially periodical ones. Different design schemes of generator have found development in the research work of the Center of Electromechanics and I AT at University of Texas, USA, as well as in the Efremov Institute of Electrophysical Apparatus, Saint-Peterburg, Russia, at limited participation of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences. The key for the compression generator efficiency is concluded in the obtaining of maximal swing of inductance during rotor angular displacement. Likely to the well studied linear explosive generators, for the rotating compression generator the stage of flux compression beta is a factor which determines the energy amplification in the machine: $W_{out}$ = beta $W_{exe},$ here $W_{out},$ is the peak energy in the output electrical contour and $W_{exe}$ is the energy input for excitation of the initial magnetic flux. The principal way to increase beta is to improve the magnetic coupling between winding of rotor and winding of stator at the phase of maximal flux compression. It means that we must minimize the flux leakage around the active conductors of both windings. This problem can be more clear for resolution at the iron core generator. Several design structures of compensating coils for the screening of the flux leakage have been taken into consideration and their efficiency has been evaluated. Most effective results have been obtained for the screen contours at their plane oriented perpendicularly to the leakage flux path through the sides of slots. The minimal inductance of machine and coefficient of compression are calculated for each type of the compensating screen. |
