Abstract	The Glider, Monitoring, Piloting and Communication (GLMPC) system was developed for the Office of Naval Research's (ONR) ocean glider Technology Transition Initiative (TTI). It forms an essesntial part of a command and control system for multiple gliders operating simultaneoulsy and multiple types of gliders. This paper describes the GLMPC system's initial requirements, which were primarily human factors issues, in addition to the system's architecture, and a brief description of the user interface components. GLMPC was delivered to the Navy in 2007 and continues to be used operationally by the Navy.
