Abstract	A new analytical nonlinear switched reluctance machine (SRM) model for rapid calculation is presented in this paper. It proves to be satisfactory both in accuracy and calculation speed. The model of SRM and its drive system (SRD) is then modularly developed as a sub-system library for airborne power system library based on Dymola/Modelica, a modeling software especially suitable for complex multi-disciplinary system. The purpose is to build a generic, expandable, and rather complete airborne power system model library for its dynamic analysis. It's expected to alleviate the difficulty in design and optimization of airborne power system during the conceptual design phase. An example of SRD as well as a system-level model of SR generator (SRG) system coupling with a turbofan engine is exhibited to verify the validity of the model.
