Abstract | This paper introduces a new current control principle for three phase VSI. The transistor switching vector for the current control is determined directly from the Lyapunov stability condition in order to select the most effective transistor switching vector. To reduce the switching frequency of the proposed current control algorithm, sequential switching among the transistor switching vectors is introduced, which is described using a novel recursive matrix logic controller approach for description of the discrete event systems. Next to the systematic control design procedure, simplified implementation is major benefit of the proposed approach. Instead of traditional coding, the control algorithms are loaded in the form of logical matrices. The approach is illustrated by the design of event-driven current controller for a three phase inverter fed Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machine. The design is examined by simulations and experimentally confirmed. |

National Digital Library of India (NDLI) is a virtual repository of learning resources which is not just a repository with search/browse facilities but provides a host of services for the learner community. It is sponsored and mentored by Ministry of Education, Government of India, through its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT). NDLI is designed to hold content of any language and provides interface support for 10 most widely used Indian languages. It is built to provide support for all academic levels including researchers and life-long learners, all disciplines, all popular forms of access devices and differently-abled learners. It is designed to enable people to learn and prepare from best practices from all over the world and to facilitate researchers to perform inter-linked exploration from multiple sources. It is developed, operated and maintained from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
