| Abstract | On behalf of the Organizing Committee, I would like to welcome you to the Asia and South Pacific Design Automation Conference 2003(ASP-DAC 2003), a sister conference of DAC and DATE. ASP-DAC 2003 will be held in Kitakyushu City, the largest industrial city in Kyushu Island, Japan. Kyushu is a center of semiconductor fabrication in Japan and now growing into a center of SoC (System-on-a-Chip) design. The goal of the ASP-DAC is to provide an international forum for researchers and engineers in the area of SoC/VLSI design, and EDA/CAD technologies. We have three excellent keynote speakers, Prof. Geonvanni De Micheli (Stanford Univ.), Prof. Tadahiro Ohmi (Tohoku Univ.) and Dr. Yervant Zorian (Virage Logic), who will talk about future directions of Semiconductor Industries and SoC design technologies. The Technical Program Committee, under the leadership of Prof. Masaharu Imai and Prof. Jason Cong, reviewed 235 papers from 22 countries to organize the outstanding program. 119 papers are selected for presentation in the Conference. The selected papers cover the wide variety of hot topics from system design level to physical design including embedded systems, reconfigurable systems, analog circuits, and TCAD. The program also includes a session for design examples and 3 panel discussions. The University LSI Design Contest is also an important event of ASP-DAC, which focuses a real chip design in academia. The Design Contest Committee, chaired by Prof. TomohisaWada, selected 17 designs for presentation, from which winners of design awards will be announced in the conference. On Tuesday, three full-day and two half-day tutorials are scheduled to give complete introductions of state-of-the-art design/CAD topics.Asia South Pacific region is now growing up very quickly in the design of SoC and VLSI as well as fabrication technology of semiconductor. This region will become the largest market of IT products in the world and also lead the progress of design technologies of SoC in the next five years. ASP-DAC 2003 will be a precious opportunity for you to find valuable information by exchanging ideas with researchers and engineers working on SoC/VLSI design technologies.I hope you will have a valuable and enjoyable experience at Kitakyushu, Japan, in next January. |

National Digital Library of India (NDLI) is a virtual repository of learning resources which is not just a repository with search/browse facilities but provides a host of services for the learner community. It is sponsored and mentored by Ministry of Education, Government of India, through its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT). Filtered and federated searching is employed to facilitate focused searching so that learners can find the right resource with least effort and in minimum time. NDLI provides user group-specific services such as Examination Preparatory for School and College students and job aspirants. Services for Researchers and general learners are also provided. NDLI is designed to hold content of any language and provides interface support for 10 most widely used Indian languages. It is built to provide support for all academic levels including researchers and life-long learners, all disciplines, all popular forms of access devices and differently-abled learners. It is designed to enable people to learn and prepare from best practices from all over the world and to facilitate researchers to perform inter-linked exploration from multiple sources. It is developed, operated and maintained from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.

NDLI is a conglomeration of freely available or institutionally contributed or donated or publisher managed contents. Almost all these contents are hosted and accessed from respective sources. The responsibility for authenticity, relevance, completeness, accuracy, reliability and suitability of these contents rests with the respective organization and NDLI has no responsibility or liability for these. Every effort is made to keep the NDLI portal up and running smoothly unless there are some unavoidable technical issues.
Ministry of Education, through its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT), has sponsored and funded the National Digital Library of India (NDLI) project.
