In the last panel, Pete tells his burro, "Slim sure was powerful fast -- which shows he had one good point, Sal. I don't think that b'ar ever ketched him." The strip, published in the Newark Evening News from Mar. 29-Oct. 2, 1926, was based on the cartoonist's experiences prospecting in the Klondike. |
