Description | Five panel comic strip shows a lovestruck doctor, Deen Wilderness, trying to remake herself into the image of Steve Canyon's secretary Peeta Peeta, as she sews herself a new, more revealing dress. She smiles at herself in the mirror in the fourth panel, but by the final panel, she's very unhappy. In 1947, Milton Caniff created a postwar adventure comic strip featuring Steve Canyon, owner of Horizons Unlimited, toughened by his World War II experience and tackling dangerous assignments. The feature ended with the death of its creator in 1988. |
