| Description | This document is a text book on Basic Science of Standard VIII of Kerala Board. It has eleven units. Unit I and II contain the details of plant cell, animal cell and the structure and function of plant tissues. Learners can develop knowledge about environment friendly pest management and modern agriculture. Learners can acquire knowledge about Periodic Table and balancing of chemical equations from unit V. Different types of chemical changes and physical changes are described in unit VI with examples. Learners can develop concept about mass, volume and density from unit VIII. They will acquire knowledge about speed, velocity, acceleration and retardation from unit IX. Unit X contains the details of force and friction. The properties of magnetism is described in unit XI. Different activities will motivate the learners and improve their knowledge in Basic Science. |
