As a result, India will once again become 'filled with rich flowers. এই প্রবন্ধে মানুষের বুদ্ধির ক্রমবিকাশের সঙ্গে সঙ্গে বিজ্ঞানের সাহায্যে আবিষ্কার করলো যন্ত্রকে। ভারতে যন্ত্র চালানোর জন্য শক্তির উৎস হলো কয়লা, পেট্রোলিয়াম, জলবিদ্যুৎ। গুনের দিকদিয়ে ভারতীয় কয়লা নিকৃষ্ট। ১৯০২ সালে মহীশূরের কাবেরী নদীর ধরে ভারতের সর্বপ্রথম জলবিদ্যুতের পরিকল্পনা বাস্তব রূপ ধারণ করে। 'দামোদর ভ্যালি পরিকল্পনা' সফল হলে দামোদরের জল থেকে প্রায় ৩৫০০০০ কিলোওয়াট বৈদ্যুতিক শক্তি পাওয়া যাবে। তার মধ্যে ২০০০০০ কিলোওয়াট হ্যাডেল আর বাকি ১৫০০০০ কিলোওয়াট থার্মাল। 'মহানদী পরিকল্পনা অনুসারে প্রায় ৭৫০০০০ কিলোওয়াট বিদ্যুৎ শক্তি উৎপন্ন হবে। এর ফলে ভারতবর্ষ আবার 'ধনে ধন্যে পুষ্পে ভরা' হয়ে উঠবে।
