| Abstract | As the thiazoles ring is favourable to substantivity for cellulose therefore a series of novel non azo reactive dyes based on anthraquinone and benzothiazole have been synthesized using various cyanurated coupling components. The purity of all the dyes has been checked by thin layer chromatography and characterized by Nitrogen elemental analysis, IR and $^{1}$H-NMR data. The dyes were successfully applied on cotton, wool and silk fabrics to give light brown to pink shades. The shades were also obtained without electrolyte on cotton fabric by applying the synthesized dyes using Na$_{2}$SO$_{4}$ and Na$_{2}$CO$_{3}$ at pH 8 for 90 min at 100 °C. The percentage of dye-bath exhaustion and fixation on different fabrics was reasonably good.
