| Abstract | A tungsten doped non-hydrogenated diamond-like carbon (W-DLC) film was prepared by ion beam assisted deposition, and then W-DLC film was sulfurized by low temperature ion sulfurization. The structural analyses were performed on the scanning electron microscope, optical profilometer, Raman spectroscope and transmission electron microscope equipped with energy dispersive spectroscope. The results showed that the low temperature ion sulfurization treatment increase I$_{D}$/I$_{G}$ ratio from 3.5 to 4.0 and 3.4 to 3.8 for sulfurized DLC and W-DLC films, respectively. The microstructures of sulfurized DLC film changed from amorphous to nanocrystalline/amorphous structure after low temperature ion sulfuration. The sulfurized W-DLC film was composed of nanocrystallites β-WC$_{1−X}$, WS$_{2}$ and FeS, which uniformly dispersed in the amorphous DLC matrix. |

National Digital Library of India (NDLI) is a virtual repository of learning resources which is not just a repository with search/browse facilities but provides a host of services for the learner community. It is sponsored and mentored by Ministry of Education, Government of India, through its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT). Filtered and federated searching is employed to facilitate focused searching so that learners can find the right resource with least effort and in minimum time. It is designed to enable people to learn and prepare from best practices from all over the world and to facilitate researchers to perform inter-linked exploration from multiple sources. It is developed, operated and maintained from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
