| Abstract | The present paper focuses on several particular aspects related to the even-odd effects in prompt emission in fission synthesized as follows: 1) The even-odd effects in prompt emission are the result of two contributions, a dominant one due to the even-odd nuclear character of fission fragments reflected in their properties and consequently in the emitted prompt neutrons and gammas, and a weaker contribution brought by the even-odd effect in the fragment distribution (over which the prompt emission matrices are averaged). Oscillations with a periodicity of about 5 mass units are present in different prompt emission quantities corresponding to even-Z and odd-Z fragmentations independent of the size of the even-odd effect in the charge yield Y(Z) . 2) The oscillation periodicity $\Delta A\approx 5$ in the charge polarization $\Delta Z(A)$ and rms(A) of the isobaric charge distribution as well as in the fragment mass yields Y(A) of even-Z and odd-Z fragmentations is also due to the periodicity of nuclear properties being independent of the size of the even-odd effect in Y(Z) . Only the magnitude of the oscillation amplitudes of $\Delta Z(A)$ , rms(A) and Y(A) of even-Z and odd-Z fragmentations reflects in different ways the size of the even-odd effect in Y(Z) . 3) Not only the basic features of the global even-odd effect in fragment yields and prompt emission are the same but also the local even-odd effect in prompt emission --reported for the first time in this paper-- exhibits the same behaviour as the experimental data of the local even-odd effect in Y(Z) . 4) A correlation between the even-odd effect in Y(Z) and prompt emission quantities (e.g., $\nu(Z)$ exists. This interrelation is through the nuclear properties of the fission fragments. The presence of oscillations with a period $\Delta A\approx 5$ in both Y(A) and prompt emission quantities corresponding to even-Z and odd-Z fragmentations cannot be directly linked to the size of the even-odd effect in Y(Z) . |

National Digital Library of India (NDLI) is a virtual repository of learning resources which is not just a repository with search/browse facilities but provides a host of services for the learner community. It is sponsored and mentored by Ministry of Education, Government of India, through its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT). Filtered and federated searching is employed to facilitate focused searching so that learners can find the right resource with least effort and in minimum time. NDLI provides user group-specific services such as Examination Preparatory for School and College students and job aspirants. Services for Researchers and general learners are also provided. NDLI is designed to hold content of any language and provides interface support for 10 most widely used Indian languages. It is built to provide support for all academic levels including researchers and life-long learners, all disciplines, all popular forms of access devices and differently-abled learners. It is designed to enable people to learn and prepare from best practices from all over the world and to facilitate researchers to perform inter-linked exploration from multiple sources. It is developed, operated and maintained from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.

NDLI is a conglomeration of freely available or institutionally contributed or donated or publisher managed contents. Almost all these contents are hosted and accessed from respective sources. The responsibility for authenticity, relevance, completeness, accuracy, reliability and suitability of these contents rests with the respective organization and NDLI has no responsibility or liability for these. Every effort is made to keep the NDLI portal up and running smoothly unless there are some unavoidable technical issues.
Ministry of Education, through its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT), has sponsored and funded the National Digital Library of India (NDLI) project.
