| Abstract | We examine the mutations of the political discourse in the context of the mediatization in process, particularly the transformations of its sources1 into actors of the enunciation of a “combat discourse” that targets the journalistic institution, its foundations, practices, and its professionals. The presidential discourse emitted during the 2018 election campaign is under study, as well as statements, made by him in the media, during the first year of his term, which explain meanings and ideas that inspire the “communicational action” of direct contact of politics with society, having the president as its protagonist actor. The president ceases to be a source to become the central operator of a policy in process, which dispenses with mediating communicational practices such as the journalistic ones. |
