| Abstract | The Etlingera hemisphaerica ‘Red Tulip’ y ‘Black Tulip’ in vitro propagation was accomplished in two phases: 1) Establishment, where apexes of terminal and lateral buds were cultured in the Murashige and Skoog medium, complemented with 0,5 mg.L -1 of Benziladenine (BA) in three physical stages: liquid with support, liquid without support and semisolid. The best explants development was registered in the semisolid and liquid with support. 2) Multiplication and rooting, in where three citocinines were evaluated: kinetin, 2 isopenteniladenine and Benciladenine (0; 0,5; 1,0; 2,0 y 2,5 mg.L -1 ), and in the first subculture, the BA (0,5; 1,0; 2,0; 2,5 y 5,0 mg.L -1 ).
