| Abstract | The purpose of the research are testing and analyzing the effect of the cooperative learning strategy STAD (Student Teams Achievement Division) and JIGSAW to student learning outcomes, and student learning motivation towards learning outcomes. The test and analyze interactions between strategies and motivation to learn about learning outcomes. This research uses a quasi experiment (Quasi exsperimental) with 2 x 3 factorial design in SMP Negeri 2 Gemolong VIII grade, the population of 8 classes consists of 200 children, with sample VIII A there are 30 students and sample VIII B there are 30 students. Data analysis includes descriptive data and inferential analysis. Descriptive analysis is done by presenting data through frequency distribution tables, histograms, and comparative analysis with a test to determine the goodness of the test model and hypothesis testing. The results showed that there was an influence on the STAD strategy and Jigsaw strategy on student learning outcomes. Marginal average value of student learning outcomes subject to the STAD strategy higher than the marginal mean of student learning outcomes that were subject to the Jigsaw strategy. There is an influence of the level of student achievement motivation on learning outcomes. Students who have a high level of achievement motivation have higher learning outcomes than students who have a low level of mathematics achievement motivation. Then, students who have a moderate level of achievement motivation have similar good learning outcomes compared to students who have achievement motivation. There is no interaction between learning strategies and the level of student achievement motivation on student learning outcomes. So it can be concluded that the STAD Strategy is better than the Jigsaw strategy for each high mathematics, medium and low mathematics achievement motivation. In the STAD and Jigsaw Strategies, students with high achievement motivation have better learning outcomes than students with low and high achievement motivation, and students with moderate achievement motivation have the same learning outcomes as students with low optimism. |
