| Abstract | One of the recent interesting facts about chip asynchronous DS-CDMA communication systems, is that the spreading sequences generated by Markov chains are superior in terms of capacity in number of users for a target BER, to those generated by binary i.i.d sequences as well as the classical linear feedback shift register (LFSR) based sequences, including the Gold sequences and the Kasami set [1, 2, 3].In this paper we show the superiority of such chaos-based sequences generated by Piece wise Linear Markov maps (PLM), in chip asynchronous DS-CDMA systems in the linear multiuser detection framework. |
