| Abstract | The best way to make values sustainable in society, to train good people and to educate the public on this issue is to let individuals adopt the basic codes from childhood. Ficti on-based children’s literature works are functi onal as a means of preparing rich media, functi oning in terms of knowledge and good manners’ transfer, sensiti vity inoculati on. These books are good tools by providing examples of positi ve discourses and behaviors, leading to good, correct, and beauti ful and avoiding negati vity. In literary narrati ves, behind a story narrated by narrator , which focuses mainly on the oppositi ons such as good and bad, just and unjust, fair and unfair, life and death etc. an array of values are reserved. In this context, it is the sum of opinions about the world of values, which is menti oned in literary accounts (Aktulum, 2017). Based on this idea in this study It is aimed to view Emin Özdemir’s fi cti onal children’s books in the context of values educati on. In the study, the method of document analysis was used in qualitati ve research data collecti on methods. In the determinati on of the values, the classifi cati on specifi ed in the Ministry of Educati on’s Turkish Lesson Plan (2017) and Nevzat Tarhan’s book “Güzel İnsan Modeli” was taken as a basis. The source of the data is the works of Emin Özdemir, Bizler Büyüyünce, Mutlukent’in Yöneti cisi, Ölümsüzlük Gezegeni, Yalnızlığı Seven Kırlangıç and Yarışmalar Kenti . There are 33 values in the Ministry of Educati on’s Turkish Lesson Teaching Program and 23 values in Nevzat Tarhan’s Güzel İnsan Modeli book. 12 values were subtracted from the total because they were passed in both texts and the Works were examined according to the 44 values obtained. Emin Özdemir’s works were found to have the highest values of love (166), friendship (97) and assistance (40). |
