| Abstract | The article discusses the role and responsibility of law in contemporary Brazilian cultural and institutional context. Assuming that this context is fraught with conflicts of interest, not always ethical or virtuous, it is necessary to initiate in living a reliable framework capable of giving a more equitable balance to these clashing interests. This is the central axis of the work, which sees the law social institution better prepared to be kind of high culture to drive the utility and functional living prevalent in social and institutional relations. The article also deals with the social inequalities that persist in increasing not giving any regression signal or restraint, it is precisely this analysis that the test does suggest some possibilities, one is the social responsibility of law in the fight against social inequalities. |
