| Abstract | We evaluated the efficiency and effectiveness of Drug Supply Program of the Ministry of Health Maternal and Child Health Center "Vista Alegre" District of Victor Larco Trujillo Province was evaluated. 2010, allowing assess the degree of efficiency and effectiveness through the criteria of quantity, timing, place, cost and quality. 20 tracer drugs selected from higher demand in health services and represent proportionally to the population number of pharmaceutical products included in the National List of Essential Medicines, in different presentations was used; for this frequency was measured using the following indicators: 1. Percentage change weighted average inventory average time 2. Percentage shortages, 3. Percentage based on the value of drugs purchased through competitive bidding, 4 average of a set of 20 tracer drugs available unexpired Percentage. In general the results are transcendent as they determine the degree of efficiency and effectiveness of the current management of drug supply system; discussion in Chapter contrasted with information provided by the General Directorate of Medicines, Supplies and Drugs, done at national level and by region. Analysis of the results we conclude the following: (1) The efficiency through the weighted average percentage change in inventory in the warehouse of the Maternal and Child Health Center "Vista Alegre" SISMED program is 0.74%; difference found for: Amoxicillin 500 mg. Tab. which has 0.67%, and Paracetamol 500 mg. Tab. It was 0.81%. (2) The effectiveness through the average percentage of time out of stock, is 3.32%; difference found for: Diazepam 5 mg. Tab. which presents 33.00% for lidocaine without epinephrine 2% X 20 ml. (50 ml.) It was 16.67% Injection, and for SMT / TMP (cotrimoxazole) 40 mg./200 mg./5 ml. It was 16.67%. (3) The efficiency through the percentage based on the value of drugs purchased through competitive bidding, is 100% that corresponds to drugs purchased through competitive bidding and have a value of S /. 42600.00, and for drugs purchased through direct acquisition it was 0%. (4) The effectiveness through the average percentage of a set of 20 unexpired tracer drugs available in the SISMED program is 100%. * After the evaluation performed showed the requirement of correction, which was suggested to implement an improvement of Quality (PMC) to strengthen the administrative activities: General Standards and Technical Processes, which include the supply system. |
