| Abstract | This research aimed to analyze the influence of emerging technologies in the process of learning the subject of Dental Morphology in the students of the Dental School of Universidad National de Chimborazo. The study was observational, descriptive, correlational, analytical and field, a sample of 75 people who belonged to the same dental school who took the subject of Dental Morphology was estimated. Two groups were established, the first one called the study group which was trained using an emerging technology tool, and the other group that was carried out through traditional teaching. A knowledge test on dental morphology was applied in order to compare both groups. It was shown that there were statistically significant differences (p = 0.0014) in the assessment of knowledge of dental morphology between the control group and the study group. It was concluded that emerging technologies positively influenced the learning process, virtuality, interactive content that can assertively approach the understanding and abstraction of student information; and they significantly improved the motivation towards the subject with a facility for its application. |
