| Abstract | This brief paper presents a succinct overview of the controversial -and fertile- relationship involving the concepts of gender and science as well as the fundamental themes generated or linked to it. Moreover, I attempt to define the concept of gender and the main trends in feminist epistemology to interpret this. I will also explain the criticism towards these trends in the Philosophy of Science. The main considerations on gender and science are developed in the same field of the Philosophy of Science and in the so-called Studies on Science, Technology and Society. Another important aim is to expose the current status quaestionis on this matter.
