| Abstract | SUMMARY There are many of us unsatisfied with the fact that a great number of our students, after several years learning French, do not achieve enough skills to communicate in that language. This article tries to analyze and assess which are the needs of the new intercultural speaker , from the two perspectives used by the Council of Europe through the Cadre europeen de reference establishing the relation action/ reaction, which is the reality of education in our country and in the Autonomous Community of Galicia, with respect to oral skills, how, to which extent, where and why professionals put that in practice in the classroom, and which are the real needs of their students of French as a second language in the new millennium Europe, as an attempt to determine the degree of lack of adjustment between the variety of beliefs . Linguistic habits and actions differ, and the polyphony of the peoples of the Union is not completely understood in all its social and cultural complexity. The work starts from the guidelines set out by Van Lier (1995) to perform an ethnographic research in second language classrooms, which considers the updating of new action horizons adapted to the CECR needs, thus answering to our hypothesis (quantitative feature) and questions (qualitative feature) not stopping in a generalization process but trying to provoke a positive reaction of hermeneutic understanding of the situation to go deep into the field of grasping the meaning of questions that we ask every day in the classroom (the place where all these linguistic cultural and social actions merge) and answers of teachers and students of the fourth year of Obligatory Secondary Education (represented by performance tests, and the corresponding questionnaires). |
