| Abstract | This article discusses the educational policies in regard to the high school curriculum and its bindings with the policies indicated by the so called “Delors Report”. If from one side the offi cial speech emphasizes the school as a panacea for the society’s wrongs, Delors Report will countersign the same speech and amplify it in order to adequate this same school to prepare the “labor-citizen” as a way to capacitate them to live in a “democratic society”. The Delors Report, which became better known by the name of the president of the commission, Jaques Delors, was thought to systematize and refl ect the matter and compromises assumed by the countries that participated in the Jomtiem Conference, in Thailand, 1990. Commended by UNESCO this report is offi cially denominated: Education: a treasure to be discovered. “Report to UNESCO from the International Comission about education to the XXI century”. We have concluded that the educational reforms that occurred all over the world, including in Brazil, before and after the fi nal approval of the PCNs documents in 1996, have the same educational principles. This countersigns the affi rmation that there is a society project being thought and engendered by the ideologists that defend capitalism. In this project, the scholar education is thought as the best tool to conform the spirits, instill values, homogenize speeches and make people accept the restructure of the globalized capitalism, with its economical, social, cultural and other differences. It’s what it was meant to treat and relate when the Delors Report was analyzed and its bindings with the implementation of the PCNs in Brazil. |
