| Abstract | The present research had the main problematic: How does the Program improve the selective attention and concentration in the children of 11 and 12 years with attentional problems in an institution of Villa el Salvador, Lima, 2016? The main objective of the study was to demonstrate that the Program improves selective focus and concentration on students. This work falls within the field of applied research, with a quantitative approach, with a quasi experimental design, where its independent variable is the program and the dependent variable is attention. The sample consisted of 24 students of both sexes, between 11 and 12 years old, who presented low levels of attention. The instrument used to measure selective attention and concentration in the control and experimental groups was the d2 Attention test by Rolf Brickenkamp (2004). The program to improve selective attention and concentration was designed and implemented. The main objective of this program was to improve the three-dimensional care of processing speed, attentional efficacy and inhibitory attentional control through two weekly sessions of 40 Minutes each, for the space of 15 sessions. In each session, motivational and introductory activities were designed, instruction comprehension strengthened, and varied exercises, activities and training were developed. To verify the effectiveness of the program, we compared the scores of the students of the control and experimental groups in two moments: before and after the administration of the program to the experimental group. To establish the efficacy of the program, the use of the Mann- |
