| Abstract | This is an updated list of birds that are considered harmful in Costa Rica, mainly for agricultural production. This update considers recent information, both the status of harmful species as changes in the taxonomy of some species. The list consists of 63 species belonging to 20 families, mainly Icteridae, Psittacidae, Emberizidae, Columbidae and Cardinalidae.
