| Abstract | Organizations are inserted in an environment characterized by strong turbulences and constant changes, which makes organizational resources administration more and more complex and challenging. In this way, being a good professional is not enough anymore, it takes something more. Therefore, the image of a leader has become absolutely essential to the leading of teams. However, there is no way to talk about leadership without associating this to the motivation of everyone who is involved. To a company, having a motivated team is as important as having a successful leader. Although, those changes affect not only the corporative environment, but also the educational environment experience those impacts. Within this context, a connection has been established between the principles of administration and an educational organization, the pre-academical SuperAcao from UFPE-CAA (Federal University of Pernambuco – Agreste Academic Center). This monograph proposal is to analyze of the influence of the monitors, as leaders, on the motivation of students, as well as stimulate other researches in this very instigating area of human behavior. Through a case study, a qualitative-quantitative approach of research was used to give this worksheet a descriptive character. The data were collected over an applied questionnaire made to the students of the pre-academical SuperAcao and, posteriorly, analysed based on a theoretical referential which approaches themes such as organizations, leadership and motivation. The results reveal that, even without a teaching formation, the monitors manage to lead and influence the levels of student’s motivation. One of the factors pointed by the students as the cause of this influence is that they, the monitors and students, have a very similar reality (they were public school student, applied to SuperAcao etc.), what makes the monitors be seen as a reference. In other words, to those students, knowing that other people with such similar reality achieved goals that they want to achieve as well, make them feel even more motivated. |
