| Abstract | Lead (Pb) and Cadmium (Cd) are an environmental pollutant elements. Lead (Pb) and cadmium (Cd) metals in shellfish on Metro Tanjung Bunga Street and Terong market analysis has been carried out by using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometers (AAS). The analysis result showed that the Lead (Pb) metal content in shells is 9.63 ppm and 16.04 ppm each of from Metro Tanjung Bunga Street and Terong market. This result has exceeded the quality standards base on the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Health Departments of Republic Indonesia number: 03275/B/SK/1989 which about 2 ppm. In another result, the concentration of the Cadmium (Cd) metals in shells that come from the Metro Tanjung Bunga Street and Terong market respectively are 0.65 ppm and 0.30 ppm. This result has not exceeded the standard quality base on the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Health Departments Republic of Indonesia number: 03275/B/SK/1989 which about 1 ppm. |
