| Abstract | This paper presents the results of an investigation project called “Integration of Information and Communication Technology (CIT) at the University Community of the Atlantic branch of the University of Costa Rica (UCR) in agreement with the Superior Polytechnic Institute José Antonio Echeverría (ISPJAE-CUJAE)-Cuba,” with the purpose of training cities that are part of the university community of the Atlantic branch in the use of ICT through a proposal based on their interests and needs that will allow people to develop in this environment within the frame of the international cooperation agreement between the UCR and the ISPJAE. The first option for the population of study was the university community of the Atlantic branch (faculty, administration and students) and other Academic Units of the UCR that wanted to participate and to integrate to the national and international training processes. The main impact was the acquisition of new knowledge for the people participating through the implementation of a continuous training program in the use and integration of ICT as support and mediator in pedagogical processes and in the daily practice, substituting the work |
