| Abstract | From changes made by regulator to companies in the distribution of electric energy in Brazil, with emphasis on changes in the calculation of cost of equity, this work seeks to identify the existence of regulatory risk, assessing the impact of the regulatory framework of 2004 on market expectations. Using the Kalman filter algorithm to estimate daily betas according to CAPM model, our results provided evidences that regulatory changes caused an increase in investors expected returns. |
