| Abstract | The paper proposes a new model for network tomography, which is a hybrid between analog and boolean tomography. In this model, one distinguishes between good and bad links (as in boolean), and tries to calculate a range over the performance metric for each bad link (similar to analog). Two algorithms for min-metrics (throughput) and for sum-metrics (loss, delay) are described. The evaluation is quite thorough and establishes that in some scenarios, range tomography has clear advantages over analog and boolean. |
