| Abstract | This article takes up a comprehensive reading on the meanings that youth and adult-level teachers attribute to the problematics of teacher training when confronted by that meaning produced by national and international entities in disputing hegemonic meaning in the ield of teacher training policies. This question came about during a teacher’s training course given during the early years of the EJA in a public school located on the western outskirts of greater metropolitan Rio de Janeiro. In different ield situations throughout the research teachers claimed to perceive themselves as others as mute objects (Bakhtin, 2000) towards which the training polices have been directed. By assuming the double dialectical and dialogical methodological perspective in this research, we agree that EJA teachers produce policies, policies of others (Caldeira, 1984), during the political and epistemological level of their training |
