| Abstract | To analyze the effectiveness of public policy provided in “Programa Brasil Quilombola” it was necessary to make a broad survey of national and international law concerning to the subject, such as the 169 Convention from International Labor Organization, the Constitution, laws, decrees, rules and instruction, which form the legal basis of this work. In addition, an extensive analysis of public policies in “Programa Brasil Quilombola” was done, especially those contained in Public Policy Guide for Quilombo Communities, 2013 edition, in order to know what are the existing public policies in this program and its means of access. To this end, it was used a predominantly qualitative methodology, by conducting interviews in the communities of the remaining quilombo areas “Alegre”, “Alegre II”, “Riacho da Cruz”, “Caluzeiros” and “Agua Viva”, located in the Municipality of Januaria. After the compilation of interviews, survey data and information, it was found that despite the fact that some progress has been recorded, much remains to be done so that one can say that the policies laid down in “Programa Brasil Quilombola” are effective in the City of Januaria. |
