| Abstract | This article aims to present working hypotheses to produce consistent analyzes of the current educational policy for the High School in Rio Grande do Sul / Brazil , particularly the Restructuring Curriculum of the State Public High School in Rio Grande do Sul 2011-2014, especially the part referring to the Polytechnic High School, in process of implementation. Aspects of the experience of a school are considered as well as the Reform Base Document. It was examined, specifically two theoretical and political assumptions present in the document: the polytechnic and work as an educational principle. Initial findings indicate the need to produce in-depth studies regarding the relationship between the stresses generated in the implementation of the proposal and: a) the mechanisms of participation of the school community and the professional category of teachers; b) produced conclusions about the identity Secondary from data dropout and repetition rates and; c) the design of polytechnic, the contradictions between capital and labor and the place of the school. |
