| Abstract | INDUSTRIAL ACTIVITIES GENERATE DIFFERENT TYPES OF WASTE, WHICH, IF NOT TREATED PROPERLY, CAN AFFECT THE ENVIRONMENT AND POPULATION HEALTH. FOR A LONG TIME, MOST OF THE WASTE WAS DISPOSED OF ILLEGALLY AND UNDERGROUND LOCATIONS. CURRENTLY, DUUE TO MORE STRINGENT REGULATIONS, COMPANIES WERE PROMPTED TO TAKE MEASURES TO CONTROL ENVIRONMENTAL POLLUTION. IN THIS SENSE, THE OBJECTIVE OF THIS STUDY IS TO DEPLOY THE MANAGEMENT OF SOLID WASTE IN A LARGE FOOD INDUSTRY, LOCATED NEAR THE CITY OF AVARE, IN ORDER TO ENSURE PROPER SEPARATION AND DISPOSAL OF WASTE, COMPLIANCE WITH ENVIRONMENTAL LEGISLATION. THROUGH RESEARCH AND GATHERING INFORMATION ON THE TYPES OF WASTE THE MAPPING OF THE ENTIRE CHAIN OF SOLID WASTE (GENERATION, SEPARATION, STORAGE, DISPOSAL) WAS CREATED ALLOWING SCALE INVESTMENTS AND WHICH METHODS WOULD BE NECESSARY TO MAKE EFFECTIVE THE CYCLE OF MOVEMENT OF WASTE THE PREMISES OF THE FACTORY. IT WAS FOUND THAT WITH THE PROPER MANAGEMENT OF WASTE AND THE PRACTICE OF SELECTIVE COLLECTION INDUSTRY, IN ADDITION TO MEETING LEGAL REQUIREMENTS AND REDUCE CONTAMINATION OF THE ENVIRONMENT, YET OBTAINED A DECREASE IN THE VOLUME OF NON-RECYCLABLE WASTE AND REDUCING TRANSPORTATION COSTS AND DISPOSAL THEREOF.
