| Abstract | The internet, as an information-rich ressource has transformed the way firms gather, produce and transmit competitive intelligence (CI). Yet there is little empirical work on the tools that are used in this purpose. This study fills that gap by studying the factors that affect the use of internet as a major tool for CI. It identifies four factors : environement, strategic perception of IT, organization, digitaliza- tion of company process. This last factor seems to be the major one explaining the development of the usage of Internet for CI. |
