| Abstract | The proposed project has as main purpose lead advanced studies in areas of research related to the diagnosis of functional flaws technologies present and future of cells for fuel, with the objective of developing tools and diagnostic techniques that contribute, in the long run, the establishment of this technology on a massive scale in the Dominican Republic, the Caribbean and Central America. As a means to achieve this purpose, it will establish and develop a research centre on renewable energy issues. This Center will be located in the APEC University and will take as the name "Center of research energy of the Caribbean" (CIE). As a concrete result of the research, they develop, short-term, tools and integrated techniques of hardware and software that will help improve the reliability of fuel cell technology. It will also develop innovative methods to model and simulate the electrochemical fuel cell systems performance. The development of will be based on research which will be held on topics such as: 1) studies of fuel cell systems modeled as dynamic generators and information systems, 2) fuel cell systems entropic thermodynamic studies 3) studies of electrochemical processes with fuel cells. |
