| Abstract | This note describes the data accumulated since the beginning of archaeological investigations in 2012, followed by the early works, particularly important in 2013 and 2014. Strictly attached to the accomplishment and monitoring of the rehabilitation works, the operation focuses disparate elements and in different locations of the building according to necessities. After several weeks of intervention, the general effect is very interesting, it helps to enrich and update knowledge of a monument remaining relatively unknown despite his interest we consider important. Representative of the achievements of the sixteenth century, the castle was built during the period of religious wars and features an innovative style that marks the end of use of medieval rules. In the seventeenth and nineteenth centuries, two attempted extensions of the castle were unsuccessful until the current proposal initiated by the PNRL to complete the undertaking. |
