| Abstract | Information literacy is a critical element in this Era of Knowledge. Therefore, the teaching of information skills is essential for finding, recuperating, analyzing and using information (ARCL, 2006). Librarians should establish collaborative agreements with the faculty to integrate information skills in the curriculum (Hylen, 2005). The assessment of student learning seeks to value and appreciate student performance (Vera, 2002) and determine the level of effectiveness in the teaching-learning process (Aguirre, 2001). This article is directed towards explaining and analyzing the process of integrating information competencies through the assessment of student learning achieved with the experience of the Pilot Project for the Integration of Information Competencies in the Business Administration Courses of the University of Puerto Rico at Bayamon. |
