| Abstract | The document management streamlines the activities of production, processing, classification, evaluation and archiving of documents, optimizing both the information flow as all the routine management of an institution. Advantage of this principle, This article seeks to reflect on the importance of document management for the information service and for the attendance in hospitals. The methodological work aimed to link up with a quantitative-qualitative approach, on a exploratory and descriptive mode. We take as empirical space Hospital Paraibano (HP), where a questionnaire was applied as an instrument of data collection, built on a mixed perspective. By analyzing the data, we perceive that the information services of the hospital has done so unsatisfactory, hampering the care of users/patients. Conclude that the implementation of a document management in hospital is necessary, for it will optimize the flow of information and improvement of medical care provided to the population. |
