| Abstract | This article provides a critical analysis of the World Bank's (WB) education policies over the past two decades in Latin America. It evaluates various aspects of the impact of the structural adjustment policies developed by the WB on educational policies and systems. It shows how the effects of adjustment programs are not solely due to sectoral policies but also to the orientation of a particular economic policy that pursues the objective of incorporating Latin American societies into the global economy. |
