| Abstract | The objective of this study was to evaluate the level of motivation of students graduate in Accounting from a Brazilian public university in relation to the disciplines that make up the core professional, and theoretical and practical basics of the proposed national curriculum of the Federal Accounting Council. From the factor analysis, principal component method, applied to a composite sample of the responses of 261 students, nine factors that explained 65.79% of the variations of the original measures, therefore, a good level of data representation. Featured with an empirical-descriptive quantitative approach, this study showed that students feel more motivated to study subjects in the career center. Following came the core disciplines of basic and, finally, the core disciplines of theoretical and practical. It was found that students who are enrolled in the later periods of the course |
