| Abstract | Ethnographic nature study of a social club situated in a peripheral urban area reveals that exist a sum of variables relevant to analyze social participation and constraints in organized sport. Using participant observation, semi-structured interviews and documental analysis with key informants in this sport organization over a period of one year, the research team obtained promising outcomes related to the social function that sport should place. Implications of the other significant in sport development were discussed. Public politics need to address the roots within these structural forces in youth sport as pointed in the study. This study points ways in order to understand the structure and processes on the social function equation in a formation club situated in a social. |
