| Abstract | The tourism satellite accounts in Portugal, published by the National Statistical Institute (INE) in December 2018, reveal that the tourism sector represented, in 2017, 13.7% of the national PIB. According to the Tourism of Portugal (TP), this sector constitutes the largest economic activity exporting the country. The study presented here, focused on the hotel sector in Portugal, allowed the validation of the main HRM practices (HRMP) applied in the labor context; validate the importance of HRM in hospitality organizations function and internalization or externalization of the function; validate the connection of HRMP to the size and typology of the tourism enterprise. |
