| Abstract | O principal objetivo do artigo e descrever as razoes que levaram algumas empresas a se desvincularem do “Projeto APL” moveleiro de Mirassol/SP, durante o periodo de 2003 a 2007. Tem, tambem, como foco, diferenciar APL de “Projeto APL”. O metodo de pesquisa utilizado foi um estudo de caso, realizado atraves de observacao direta, participante e indireta. Esta ultima, por meio de entrevista estruturada, aplicada aos gestores das empresas evadidas. Os resultados mostraram que no “Projeto APL” de Mirassol algumas empresas se desvincularam face a ausencia de cooperacao entre elas e tambem ao excesso de individualismo e rivalidade entre os empresarios. ABSTRACT The main objective of the article is to describe the reasons that led some firms to disassociate themselves from the "APL Project" from Mirassol / SP, during the period from 2003 to 2007. It also focuses on differentiating APL from "APL Project". The research method used was a case study, conducted through observation: direct, participant and indirect, through a structured interview, applied to managers of evaded firms. The results showed that in the "APL Project" of Mirassol some firms dissociated in the absence of cooperation among them and also through an excess of individualism and rivalry among the entrepreneurs.
