EnglishThe Portuguese for Basic Education Program (2015) homes in on several ways to treat a literary text, chief among these are the fulfillment of aesthetics, and the relationship between literature and other forms of fiction. It also stresses the diversity of texts and the desire that reading remains a significant experience, reacting to continuous stimuli. All the while catering to the wide variety of didactic perspectives for literary education at the basic education level, we will present, through various suggested texts, the resulting advantages that come with using literary texts of “classic authors” at this level of education. We believe that it is possible to go further in literary education – beyond the traditional proposals that come from the child-adolescent genre – by proposing texts and authors, which are regularly kept out of the canon of works destined for this age group. |
