| Abstract | The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of different knowledge of results (KR) frequencies in the adaptive process in motor learning. Thirty subjects ranging from 18 to 35 years of age participated on this experiment. In the stabilization phase, the subjects performed 60 trials with different frequencies of KR supply. In the adaptation phase, all groups suffered perturbation in the macrostructure in 30 trials. The results did not show differences among groups. It did not allow to confirm the most recent findings discussed in the literature. The serial task of positioning may have generated a strengthened learning, what took the groups to reach a similar performance in the tests. In conclusion, for this task, with this amount of practice, the effects of different KR frequencies did not intervene in the learning. Further research needs to be carried out to analyze with more accuracy this variable in the adaptive process in motor learning. |
