| Abstract | Nowadays, we can see that the way we built has been improved day by day, but at the same time, we have forgotten the basics of building and how it relates to the natural habitat that welcomed us a long time ago. Today we realize the slow destruction of our Amazon because of oil extraction, which is actually a very important economic resource in Ecuador. Divided by blocks, communities expect to be exploited someday, without truly knowing that this brings large negative effects against the biodiversity and their lives. One of these communities is called Piwiri, located in the “Block 10” (AGIP). For this reason we propose the creation of the Piwiri’s Monitoring and Environmental Protection Station, to be developed based on endemic building systems from the indigenous communities of the Amazon region, that will focus on serving the needs of the leading community area, Piwiri, such as monitor, protect, investigate the biodiversity (flora, fauna and environment of the area) and educate/train people about what is happening inside and outside their community. |
