They ware realized data collections of samples data were coleted monthly rain precipitation, number of days of precipitation and maximum and minimum temperatures close to the meteorological station of PESAGRO of Campos-RJ to compare with the results obtained in the exams carried out at laboratory. A focus of hepatic fascioliasis was characterized in one of the visited properties, located at the district of Santa Maria, in Campos dos Goytacazes, Rio de Janeiro, close to the boundary of the municipality district of Bom Jesus do Norte, State of Espírito Santo. They were found rédias and cercárias inside mollusks belonging to the gender Physa, however these were not identified. A larger population density of mollusks was observed in the winter and spring, the occurrence of the first natural focus of fasciolose to the Campos dos Goytacazes, being the area considered important because it favors the dispersion of the illness to neighboring areas. |
